

The need for mental health support has been recognized by both National and State agencies. School districts now face enormous challenges in not only being in the fore-front of mental health problems, but also in having to deal with additional reporting requirements.
Mental health support requires careful orchestration, methodical collaboration amongst service providers. Service details must be kept strictly confidential. Many school districts encounter challenges with this as their service providers operate as independent groups and one service group may not know what another group has done. And in many districts, psychological testing and other services are outsourced to third party service providers as the school districts do not have the staff. When outsourced, timely data availability and coordination is more difficult. Tracking and managing student referrals becomes a nightmare, significantly increasing the possibility of a student’s case falling through the cracks.
S4 “The Specialized Student Services System” is the Central Repository for all Student Services.
All service providers including external third-party service providers can access S4 enabling usage of one common platform to document, view and act on a student. Referrals can be tracked all the way from creation to completion. Service providers are notified of pending cases and encouraged to submit their activities daily. Data gathered is made available to supervisors, key decision makers to manage staffing and equitably distribute services throughout the district.
S4 includes a powerful reporting module that can provide operational data in real time and data required for state reporting as needed. District admins can view, export and submit data to agencies as and when required.
